Yes, You have a place where you can get anything Asian under one roof. The Asian Kitchen by Tokyo Bay at Cochin Club ,Fort Cochin serves you with all varieties of Pan Asian dishes in your platter. The Friday Mania team made a visit to Asian Kitchen on a sunny afternoon to taste the real Chinese and Japanese dishes. The serenity of the backwaters blended with a perfect ambience was ideal to have a soup to start with. We started with Thai hot and sour Tom Yum soup with lemon grass. This mouth watering dish was unique with its spicy taste to tickle our taste buds. Here you get Asian Chicken salad which is prepared with steamed chicken and chilly mayonnaise dressing and lots of vegetables on top. It’s really filling and balanced with the perfect combinations. The restaurant was so peaceful and anyone would love to spend time to taste the food slowly to enjoy the real Asian tastes. As Asian Kitchen is the only restaurant in Kerala to serve authentic Japanese cuisine, we wanted to taste it. We had Sakana Yaki with Japanese sauce .This is a preparation of grilled fish with homemade Japanese sauce along with Chinese Fried Rice which tastes totally different from the usual fried rice . The fish was perfectly grilled and we could separate the flesh and the bone easily and had such a mouth watering taste which I never had before . Next we had spicy shredded chicken with bell peppers and Hakka Noodles. And a wonderful chicken treated with expensive Zake was the star attraction of the menu. You will never get to taste it any where else. It tasted as if the chicken was getting melted in our mouth. We enjoyed the food like never before and we had more than enough to our stomach’s delight. The hotel staff were extremely cordial and they even briefed us about the specialty dishes of the day. Hats off to the Executive Chef Amit Rai and his team who is behind this really tasty preparation. Chef Amit Rai is an expert in Pan Asian cuisines and he tries different dishes for the regular visitors. Here the diners keep coming back in search of variety .And anybody would love to go back there.
