The inititative is launched by a medical doctor, Dr Sarah Boby Thomas, a radiation oncologist. She was a faculty at Amrita Cancer Institute. Currently she is heading the Early cancer detection centre at DDRC Panampilly Nagar. She has launched Cancare to meet the requirements of senior citizens needing home based care .
