Hero Splendor iSmart BS 6 has been launched in India at ₹64,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The two wheeler company had announced earlier this year in June that it had achieved International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT)’s Type Approval Certificate (TAC) for the Splendor iSmart, thus making it India’s first BS6 bike.
Hero MotoCorp noted that besides being equipped with a BS VI Compliant FI engine, the new Splendor iSmart also delivers higher torque and better fuel efficiency. The new bike, the company added, gets an all new diamond frame with increased front suspension travel and higher ground clearance so as to enable it to take on different terrains, whereas the longer wheelbase serves to provide enhanced stability
