Maruti Suzuki has entered into the mini SUV segment with the launch of S-Presso. The company launched it in India with a price tag starting from Rs. 3.69 lakh( ex-Showroom, Delhi)
The Maruti Suzuki Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, with its tall, upright stance, decent ground clearance and bold design does have SUV-like characteristics. The front end, especially, takes its design cues from the Vitara Brezza with a sleek, chrome-laden grille and square-ish headlamps and a muscular bumper. Viewed in profile, the S-Presso mini SUV has a tall stance and a boxy shape and does manage to stand out of the crowd in the hatchback space. At the rear, the S – Presso gets a big boot lid and square-like tail lamps.
The micro SUV to compete with Renault Kwid has features like ABS, a driver-side airbag, rear parking sensors, seat-belt reminders, a digital speedometer, and a speed alert system. The Option Pack, which is available on all variants except the top-spec, adds a passenger-side airbag. Additionally, top-spec S-Presso gets a manual air conditioner, Maruti’s 7.0-inch SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system with voice recognition, steering-mounted controls, rear parcel tray, body-coloured ORVMs and door handles, and a 12V accessory socket.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will have the choice of a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT transmission option. The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso claims a mileage of 21.7 km/l.
