It is an easy to make Indian starter, a perfect snack for a rainy day at home or at night for a cocktail.A variety of crunchy veggies are incorporated with the mixture of gram flour and spices.
INGREDIENTS
- Gram flour 1&1/2–2 cups
- Rice flour 2 tbsp
- Red chilli pd……….. 1 tsp
- turmeric pd 1/4 tsp
- Ajwain (carom seeds) 1/4 tsp
- Baking soda 2 pinch
- Hing 1 pinch
- salt to taste
- Potato 1
- carrot 1
- onion 1
- capsicum 1
- Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
- Kasoori methi(optional) 2 tsp
- Oil for frying
- Water as needed
- Can use any veggies of your choice
- Cut the veggies into small pieces
METHOD
Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and mix well.Add the chopped veggies and salt.Sprinkle water and mix.The mixture should not be watery (semi thick)Heat oil and drop spoonful of the mixture into the oil and fry on medium flame till golden brown.Drain on kitchen tissue and serve hot with coriander chutney or tomato sauce.
