Rahul Bajaj ,the leading industrialist will step down from the post of Chairman and Non- Executive Director of Bajaj Finserve with effect from May 16, 2019. However, he will continue to serve the company as Chairman Emeritus. Vice-Chairman Nanoo Pamnani will take over as the new Chairman of Bajaj Finserve . “Considering his tremendous experience and in the interest of the company to avail of his services, valuable knowledge and wisdom from time to time in an advisory and mentoring role, the Board has appointed Rahul Bajaj as Chairman Emeritus with effect from the conclusion of the Board meeting on 16 May 2019,” Bajaj Finserv informed stock exchanges in regulatory filings. He will not accept any emoluments for taking up this position.
Rahul Bajaj, is popularly known as one of the most successful business personalities in India. He holds a degree in economics from Delhi University, a degree of law from Bombay University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Rahul Bajaj heads the Bajaj group of companies apart from being the chairman of the board of many companies. He was elected to the Upper House of Parliament for 2006-2010 period.
