Hyundai AX1 micro SUV is expected to be launched in India sometime in late 2021 or early 2022. The five-seater has already been in the news with the presence of three engine options, a packed features list, and the latest design language followed by the brand globally.
It’s categorized as the AX1, the sub-four-meter SUV that will be slotted below the Venue. Likely based on the K1 architecture as the new Santro, the test drive vehicle appears to be fitted with production-ready components like the Outside Rear View Mirrors and alloy wheels.
Upfront, it seems to have a split headlamp cluster and it has high ground clearance, tall pillars, raked windshield, squared wheel arches, possible sculpted tailgate, and wraparound LED tail lamps, etc.
According to Hyundai, the redesigned fourth-generation SUV’s
interior now provides more space, comfort, and convenience compared to the
previous model. The center console sits high, giving the driver and front
passenger the feeling of sitting in an armchair.
The automaker further claims that for the first time, the new SUV comes with a
Terrain Mode selector, which is a control knob located in the center console to
conveniently switch between different drive modes to optimize the performance.
