Sharmila finds designing as a passion and she had it in her since college days . A post Graduate in English Literature from St. Teresa’s college, Ernakulam she opted for saree designing not just for business but to play a vital role in the lives of artisans who are being exploited by the buyers. Nowadays customization in designs have become the mantra for any designer and Sharmila does customization in Kancheepuram silk sarees which gives Red Lotus an edge over other stores. Many of you wouldn’t have heard or opted for organic sarees but Sharmila says she does organic handloom sarees which are made by using organic dyes.
