When I heard the news of Smt .Malathy G. Menon ‘s passing away I felt a real pain as she was one of the most lively and positive women I have ever met in my life. She was a person who could embrace everything with a passion and this enthusiasm made her scale every possible steps a person could. She has won many accolades and appreciations for her Thiruvathira performance and will remain ever in the hearts of Thiruvathira lovers. She was the pioneer in the field of Pinnal Thiruvathira and has entered the Limca Book of Records. She learned many musical instruments at her old age. Many of her books about thiruvathira give authentic details about the art form. Recently she has acted in many Malayalam movies. Smt Malathy .G.Menon was given the tilte Keralasree for her outstanding performance in the field. Numerous students who learned thiruvathira at her Parvanendu school will miss her a lot. Her energy and enthusiasm even at an old age will remain as an inspiration for all women. Her passing away is a great loss to the thiruvathira lovers.
